Music in the Garden: Family Day presented by BMO

Our favourite new event from 2009 is back this year – with even more to entertain families that love music and the outdoors. You’ll find a colourful village sprawled out on VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Great Lawn, surrounded by loads of green space to play in and explore while enjoying music and nature.
Onstage performers include the Marc Atkinson Trio with its engaging acoustic jazz sounds, didgeridoo virtuoso and master storyteller William Barton from Australia and perennial children’s favourite Rick Scott. Also on the agenda: craft-making, an interactive drumming circle with Groove Masters Percussion and the Tom Lee Musical Instrument Petting Zoo where kids get a rare opportunity to literally get their hands on a range of fascinating musical instruments and hear their sounds.
